Fox Run Equestrian
Fox Run Equestrian specializes in training riders and their horses in the art of dressage. Dressage is a program for developing strength and thoroughness in the horse’s body, which is important for any riding discipline.
Most of our students take advantage of our boarding and lesson program that allows you to board your horse at our state-of-the-art facility. Others trailer in for lessons.
Lessons are provided by USDF gold medalist Carol Heckman. We also offer monthly clinics with internationally known clinicians. The clinic schedule and details are on our Clinics and Shows page.
PLEASE NOTE - Fox Run Equestrian does not have lesson horses. To take lessons at Fox Run, you either need to have your own horse, or work with a trainer who operates out of Fox Run.

Carol Heckman is a USDF gold, silver and bronze medalist with a deep understanding of the nuances of dressage. Carol is a talented instructor who learned what she knows by a lot of hard work, riding multiple horses, including those with very few basics, and bringing them along up the levels. She also had the good fortune of working with several schoolmasters and, of course, a group of top professionals including Vera Kessels, Betsy Steiner and Susan Gilson. Carol stresses the important components of solid dressage foundation training and general horsemanship.

Horses that board with us as part of lesson program enjoy:
Large stalls with windows that open.
Indoor wash areas with hot and cold water.
Spacious tack and feed rooms.
Daily turnout, weather permitting, in a variety of paddocks and pastures, including two all-season sand paddocks, ideal in wet or sloppy weather.
Boarding clients, in addition, receive daily turnout, stall cleaning, top-quality grain and bagged shavings, and feedings up to four times a day.

Our goal is to provide a boarding and lesson package that fits your needs and helps you achieve your goals.
Fox Run Equestrian lesson packages include weekly lessons or more frequent lessons depending on your schedule.
Fox Run boarding packages provide all basic care of the horse with daily turnout, stall mucking, feeding up to four times a day and the use of first class grains, shavings and hay.
Lessons with Carol are $75 per lesson with discounts given to those who agree to a lesson package of at least one lesson per week.
We also offer working student positions. That is a great way to learn and develop skills.

Are you a trainer?
Fox Run can help you too!
The team at Fox Run also works with outside trainers. If you have a student who is looking to learn skills outside of what we can offer, we are happy to talk with you and your rider to see if we can help.
In addition, Fox Run has four separate barns that lend themselves well to small groups. We typically lease 2 barns to other trainers and other disciplines, including jumpers. It is the perfect way to expand your riding program and gain access to state-of-the-art training facilities without the commitment and expense of owning your own farm.
